This ministry operates a food canteen, serving meals to the hungry from the kitchen of the United Methodist Church in Glenwood Springs. A team of St. Peter’s volunteers participates at least once a year in this valley-wide ministry. Lead: Marion Greene
Holiday Baskets
The Holiday Baskets program has supplied new gifts, toys and food to people in need in our valley for over 40 years. Run entirely by more than 300 volunteers, the program is a true community effort with numerous groups and individuals participating. In 2022 we served 265 families, 1144 individuals. This includes gifting over $50,000 worth of City Market food cards. St. Peter’s provides the space in which to coordinate and distribute the thousands of gifts and gift cards. People who wish to help may choose to sponsor a family, make a cash contribution or volunteer to wrap and sort gifts. Lead: Anne Blackwell
